In Loving Memory
Rachel Wilbourn
Former Controller, Gun Lake Investments
1978–2025
With deep sadness and heartfelt respect, we remember our dear friend and colleague, Rachel Wilbourn. On March 18, 2025, Rachel passed away after a courageous and hard-fought 10-year battle with breast cancer. She was a cornerstone of the Gun Lake Investments team, serving as our Controller with grace, strength, and unwavering dedication. Known for her optimism and radiant spirit, Rachel brought warmth to every room she entered.
With more than a decade of expertise in financial management, Rachel played a vital role in shaping GLI’s accounting and compliance practices. She approached her work with precision and compassion—leading audits, budgets, and financial operations with excellence. Yet it was her kindness, humility, and quiet leadership that truly set her apart.
A proud graduate of Western Michigan University, Rachel earned both her BBA and MBA. Outside of her professional accomplishments, she lived life fully and vibrantly—as an avid CrossFitter, marathon runner, crafter, music lover, and fiercely loyal Detroit Lions fan.
Rachel’s life was rooted in deep love—for her husband, Kevin, her family, and her community. She found joy in the thoughtful details, often expressing her care through small gestures that left lasting impressions. Her strength, humor, and authenticity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Though she is no longer with us, Rachel’s legacy lives on in the culture she helped build and the lives she impacted. We are better for having known her, and we will carry her spirit with us—in our hearts, and in our work.
