WAYLAND, MI — Meeting coffee bean farmers in Mexico was one step on the journey to open a new restaurant and meeting space in West Michigan.
Sweetgrass Moon Cafe opened to the public on Monday, April 13, at 1148 129th Ave., near Gun Lake Casino.
It’s designed to highlight Indigenous values and serves as a hub for community connection, Gun Lake Investments said while announcing the new development concept.
Sweetgrass Moon Cafe is housed in a new modular building developed with BCubed Manufacturing — the same company partnered with Gun Lake Investments to launch Hot ‘n Now last year.
Sweetgrass Moon Cafe offers coffee and other beverages, as well as baked goods and breakfast bagels.
The cafe, with indoor and outdoor seating, is envisioned as a meeting place for conversation and coffee.
